ProRealTime

ProRealTime is a French-built charting and analysis platform that connects to a handful of brokers for live order routing. It is chosen by the trader rather than imposed by the broker, which puts it in the same category as TradingView and NinjaTrader rather than with the white-label terminals.

Charting and analysis

Its charting is the reason people use it: a deep indicator library, multi-timeframe analysis, and a screener that runs custom conditions across the instrument universe rather than across a watchlist. For discretionary traders who build their own scans, that screener is the feature MetaTrader has no equivalent to.

Automation in ProBuilder and ProOrder

ProBuilder is the platform's scripting language for indicators and screening conditions; ProOrder runs automated strategies against a live connection with built-in backtesting and walk-forward testing. The language is more approachable than MQL and the backtesting engine is stricter about bar-close assumptions than most retail tools, which produces fewer of the optimistic results that fall apart live.

Cost

ProRealTime is a paid product, though several connected brokers waive the subscription above a monthly trade count. Real-time exchange data for equities and futures is a separate charge paid to the exchange. Check which tier your broker covers before subscribing directly.

Broker connections

The list of brokers offering live ProRealTime routing is short and is a commercial arrangement rather than something a broker can enable on request. Where it exists, the connection is genuine order routing rather than an embedded chart.

Who it suits

ProRealTime suits discretionary traders who build custom screens and systematic traders who want honest backtesting without writing C#. It suits poorly anyone whose strategy is an existing MetaTrader Expert Advisor, which will not run here.
