FOREX.com is part of StoneX Group, a listed financial services firm, and holds registrations in most major regulated markets including the United States — which puts it on the short list of brokers US residents may legally use.
Account structure splits by pricing: Standard embeds the cost in the spread, RAW quotes raw spreads with commission, and Direct Market Access pricing opens at higher volume. Platform choice is broad by US-broker standards, covering MetaTrader, TradingView and NinjaTrader alongside the firm's own terminal.
US clients trade under CFTC and NFA rules: first-in-first-out order handling, no hedging on the same instrument, and 50:1 maximum leverage on major pairs. Those constraints are regulatory rather than commercial and apply at every US-registered broker.
인증
US onboarding requires identity verification, a taxpayer identification number, employment and financial information and a suitability assessment. Approval is usually same-day.
A trader arriving from an offshore broker should read the FIFO and no-hedging rules before opening. A strategy that relies on holding opposing positions in the same instrument cannot be expressed on a US account and has to be restructured rather than ported.
