BKFX serves South African clients under FSCA authorisation alongside an offshore entity for other markets, offering a conventional MetaTrader 4 product.
The FSCA is a conduct regulator: it requires client fund segregation, honest advertising and a documented complaints process with escalation to the FAIS Ombud, but it sets no leverage cap and there is no investor compensation scheme in South Africa.
For domestic clients the practical advantages are rand-denominated accounts and local banking rails, which remove the currency conversion cost that funding an offshore broker carries.

Verification requires photo ID and proof of address, normally reviewed within one to two business days.
Confirm which entity holds your account. An FSCA licence brings conduct supervision and a domestic complaints route through the FAIS Ombud; the offshore entity brings neither, and the trading interface looks the same either way.
