Finam is a brokerage group with roots in the Russian market, where it has operated since 1994, and a Cyprus entity for international clients. The instrument list extends well beyond forex into equities, bonds, futures and funds, and the QUIK platform it offers alongside MetaTrader is standard in Russian-language markets and unfamiliar elsewhere.
The Cyprus entity operates under CySEC rules with ESMA limits, negative balance protection and Investor Compensation Fund cover up to €20,000.
Sanctions and access. Groups with Russian market roots have been subject to changing restrictions since 2022, which can affect payments, market access and which clients an entity may serve. Verify current account opening and withdrawal terms for your own residence directly before depositing — this is a fast-moving area and any published description ages quickly.

Verification requires photo ID, proof of address, and an appropriateness assessment on the Cyprus entity, with tax residency information.
Confirm which entity is serving you and what payment routes are actually operating for your country. For groups exposed to sanctions regimes, the practical question is not what the licence permits but what the correspondent banks will process — and that changes without notice.
