Sanctions. Otkritie Bank has been subject to sanctions by the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom since 2022, and the group has since been restructured within the Russian banking system. It is not available to clients outside Russia, cross-border payments do not function, and residents of sanctioning jurisdictions are generally prohibited from dealing with sanctioned entities.
