VTB is one of Russia's largest banks and offers brokerage services to domestic clients under Bank of Russia supervision, covering securities, futures and currency instruments on the Moscow Exchange.
Sanctions. VTB has been subject to comprehensive blocking sanctions by the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other jurisdictions since 2022, including removal from SWIFT. It is not available to clients outside Russia, cross-border payments do not function, and residents of sanctioning jurisdictions are generally prohibited from dealing with it.
